Poverty robs people of their dignity, agency and power
Church Action on Poverty works with a wide range of partners, to build a movement in which people and communities can reclaim that dignity, agency and power together.
This anthology, published to coincide with the organisation’s 40th anniversary, celebrates those values, and calls us to journey together and grow an even stronger movement in the future.
Drawing on the insights and creativity of over 40 contributors, including many who have personal experience of struggling against poverty, it includes:
– Prayers, hymns and liturgies
– Stories of people’s real experiences and struggles against poverty
– Stories of hope, transformation and challenging injustice
– Poems
– Drama
– Bible studies
– Theological reflections
Here is liturgical resistance in practice. This is a great book of witness.
